Sesshu who is a black-and-white drawing painter is the only Japanese chosen as “a world 10 size cultured person”, and it is said that Sesshu designed the Japanese garden of Funda-in Temple.

In addition, the Japanese garden of this temple is a dry landscape Japanese garden garden of old Horai expression of the history most in Kyoto.

1.About Funda-in Temple

This temple is one of the sub-temples of Tofuku-ji Temple in 25 places.

Open:9:00~16:00
Admission Fee:300 yen(Adults)、200 yen(Children)

Because it is said that Sesshu designed the Japanese garden of this temple, this temple calls another name “Sesshu temple”.

The Japanese garden of this temple is a dry landscape Japanese garden garden of old Horai expression of the history most in Kyoto.

The island of the stone in front side is “Island of turtle”, and the island of the stone in the back side is “Island of crane”.

Tonan-tei(図南亭) is the building which is a tea-ceremony room.
