1.The best season of Saiho-ji Temple

About 120 kinds of moss are said to grow naturally in Saiho-ji Temple.
And most of the moss in this temple is Haircap moss (Polytrichum juniperinum).

The best season for these moss is said to be from June to July.
(Because this period is the rainy season In Japan, Moss grows up very much.)

Therefore, Saiho-ji Temple this period is highly recommended.

The nearest station of Saiho-ji Temple is Hankyu Arashiyama-Line Matsuo-Taisha station.
(We can also go by bus from JR Kyoto station, Hankyu Shijo-Kawaramachi station and Hankyu Arashiyama station.)
